DIRIYAH CONTEMPORARY ART BIENNALE

Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale: a conversation with Laura Miotto and Savina Nicolini

The Diriyah Biennale Foundation presents 'After Rain', an exhibition displaying 177 works from contemporary artists including El Anatsui, Marjetica Potrc, Armin Linke, Tang Da Wu, Tania Mouraud, Joan Jonas, Yang Fudong, and Suzann Victor. Curated by internationally renowned artistic director Ute Meta Bauer, 'After Rain' embodies themes of revitalization and renewal within the dynamic space of Jax1, a repurposed industrial area turned art hub. SNA Design is honored to have conceptualized and implemented the innovative exhibition design for this pivotal event.

Strategically located alongside the scenic Wadi Hanifah, the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale 2024 spans six pavilions, each designed by SNA Design to form a unique ecosystem. Our approach integrates a harmonious spatial layout, tailored exhibition strategies, and carefully chosen atmospheric elements to create immersive environments. This design philosophy ensures a sensory journey for visitors, enhanced by strategic lighting, fostering empathy and engaging audiences in meaningful dialogue with the artworks.

'After Rain' by the Diriyah Biennale Foundation, with its exceptional roster of artists and visionary curation by Ute Meta Bauer, complemented by SNA Design's bespoke exhibition spaces, marks a significant milestone in contemporary art exhibitions. This event not only highlights the rich dialogue between art and its audience but also positions the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale as a leading destination for art enthusiasts and professionals alike.
